ACTNO. $131 BILL NO. 32-0123 THIRTY-SECOND LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2018 An act approving the Lease Agreement between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Ricardo Barnes for use of the premises at Plot 22-1 Estate Plessen, St. Croix ---0--- WHEREAS, the Government of the Virgin Islands, acting through the Department of Property and Procurement and on behalf of the Department of Agriculture entered into a Lease Agreement with Lessee, Ricardo Barnes, for the use of the premises at Plot 22-1 Estate Plessen, St. Croix, for cultivation of fruits, vegetables and culinary herbs; and WHEREAS, the Governor executed the Lease on March 16, 2017, for a term of 20 years, with an option to renew for an additional 10 years; and WHEREAS, title 31, section 205 (b) of the Virgin Islands Code provides that the Governor of the Virgin Islands shall approve, on behalf of the Government of the Virgin Islands, all conveyances, leases or other instruments relating to the disposition of government real estate; and WHEREAS, title 31, section 205 (c) of the Virgin Islands Code provi …
