July 31, 2019 Policy Memorandum OCCRS 105-FY 2019 – Three Month Job Search Period for Non-Temporary Job Loss or Cessation of Eligible Activity Issuing Authority: Michal Rhymer-Browne Assistant Commissioner Purpose: To facilitate the continuity of Child Care Services for children whose parent(s) experience a Non-Temporary Job Loss or Cessation of CCDF Eligible activity, the Lead Agency has established a three (3) month period of job search for the parent The three-month Job-Search Period is triggered if the parent or legal guardian loses their employment and/or is no longer deemed eligible because of TANF designation or family in need of protective services. o The grace period allows for the client to seek another activity while the child is being cared for. If at the end of grace period the parent engages in qualifying work, training, or educational program activity with an income below 85 percent of SMI, assistance continues until the end of the 12 month eligibility period. …
