FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Feb. 4, 2020 Census Job Fair to be Held on St. John Saturday Cruz Bay, St. John -- The St. John office of Census 2020 U.S. Virgin Islands will sponsor a Job Fair from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, in the Lutheran Church Hall in Cruz Bay, St. John. Census 2020 U.S. Virgin Islands is seeking more than 500 temporary, part-time census takers and crew leaders to ensure that everyone who lives in the U.S. Virgin Islands is counted. Applications can be filled out and submitted on Saturday. Interviews and testing will take place on site. Census taker positions pay $16.51 per hour and crew leaders earn $18.76 per hour. Applicants are required to have access to reliable transportation and anyone over the age of 18 can apply. Men must have registered with the Selective Service. Residents of St. John and Water Island are urged to apply. Beginning in March, census takers will visit every household in the territory to complete census forms.
