THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT “To Protect and Serve” Office of the Commissioner VIPD NEWS RELEASE- 112523-360 For Immediate Media Distribution November 25, 2023 Two Robbed and Vehicle Stolen at Gunpoint on Dorsch Beach St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On November 24, 2023, at about 10:15 p.m., an adult male reported that he was robbed at gun point by two males. The victim told officers that while he was speaking with a female friend outside of his vehicle on Dorsch Beach, they saw two males dressed in all dark clothing as they approached them with guns drawn. The suspects demanded his wallet, the female’s purse and his android cell phone. The suspects drove off with his vehicle, a gray 2017 Toyota Highlander, bearing plate number CHG-089 and both victims personal belongings. The victims described the suspects as being about 5’2” in height, short, slim black males and they appeared to be teens. …

This case is under investigation and VIPD asks if anyone sees a gray 2017 Toyota Highlander bearing license plate CHG-089 to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau Tipline at (340) 778-4850. ###
