ACTNO, 7491 BILL NO. 30-0027 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2013 An Act amending title 17 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 15 changing the Morris F. de Castro Fellowship from a loan to a grant ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 17 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 15, is amended in section 190 (d) by striking ““Loan-”, in the first sentence, by striking the last sentence, and by inserting subsection (g) to read as follows: “(g) A recipient of this award shall, upon completion of his studies, be required to work in the Territory of the Virgin Islands for not less than three years. In the event the recipient does not return to the Territory and work therein for three years upon completion of his studies, the grant shall become a loan payable upon demand.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on June 28, 2013.
