Government of the Virgin Islands of the United States DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES Press Contact: Ryan Nugent Director of Communications Phone: (340) 725-4924 Ryan.nugent@dhs.vi.gov Press Release DHS Office of Child Care and Regulatory Services Reminds Child Care Providers That Provider Agreements Are Required For GVI Payments U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Virgin Islands Department of Human Services Office of Child Care and Regulatory Services wishes to remind all child care providers that in order to receive financial disbursements such as monthly subsidy payments or grant awards you must register with GVIBUY and have an executed Provider Agreement in place. OCCRS is asking childcare providers to ensure that they have a 2023 Provider Agreement in place to receive 2023 payments and benefits. For further information you may contact the Office of Child Care and Regulatory Services at (340)772-7147 on St. Croix or (340)774-0930 ext. 4180 or 4184 St. Thomas/St. John or visit dhs.gov.vi to view or download the Provider Checklists. The Office of Child Care and Regulatory Services licenses and certifies all child care providers in the territory and provides support for quality improvement in all sectors, public and parochial. The office assists low-income working families or families entering the workforce by providing access to affordable, high-quality early care and after- school programs in the Virgin Islands via child care subsidies. Grant Awards and other assistance are available for all child care providers not just subsidy recipients.
