The investigation revealed that Ms. Reyes, knowingly and intentionally defrauded her elderly father, by taking him to Oriental Bank to conduct two separate cash withdrawals totaling $1,000.00, knowing that he suffers from Alzheimer’s and was incapable to provide consent. …

The investigation revealed that Ms. Reyes, knowingly and intentionally defrauded her elderly father, by taking him to Oriental Bank to conduct two separate cash withdrawals totaling $1,000.00, knowing that he suffers from Alzheimer’s and was incapable to provide consent. On December 8, 2022, at approximately 9:52 a.m., detectives from the Economic Crimes Unit executed an arrest warrant, where 45-year-old, Wanda Reyes was read her Miranda Rights and placed under arrest without incident. Reyes was transported to the Wilbur Francis Police Operation Building, where she was processed and charged with Obtaining Money by False Pretenses and Grand Larceny. Bail was set at $20,000.00 for the alleged incident. Unable to post bail, Ms. Wanda Reyes was remanded to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending Advice of Rights Hearing. ###
