COMMITTEE ON BUDGET, APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE 06/12/2026-SPECIAL ORDERED TO THE FLOOR BILL NO. 36-0312 Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the Virgin Islands June 11, 2026 An act amending Act No. 9022 regarding compensation for unused leave for legislative employees upon separation PROPOSED BY: Senator Kurt A. Vialet Sponsor: Clifford A. Joseph, Sr. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. Act No. 9022, section 1 (Bill No. 36-0161), is amended as follows: 2 (a) Insert the following new line-item at the end: 3 “ANNUAL LEAVE PAYOUT $345,000”; and 4 (b) Strike “$25,500,000” and insert “$25,834,000”. 5 BILL SUMMARY 6 This bill amends Act No. 9022 creating an appropriation to fund the compensation for 7 unused leave for legislative employees upon separation. 8 BR26-1159/June 10, 2026/PFA 9
