London, Jar. 16th. ~The Association of the British Chambers of Commerc: has sent a letter to th: Prime Mirister, Foreign Secretary and tha Chancellor of the Exchequer, c(riwing attention to the debt which the Allies owe to England, France, and Italy, it is pointe:i out, they owe Great Britain about $4,796, 700,000 on which they are not even pay- ing interest, Interest at 5 percent would enablea reductlon of 20 percent in the British income tax and it is printad out that re-vraymzant of tie American loan f $3.68.80),000 is co: - ing nearly as muca in taxes. The coun- cil argues that the high taxation is hurting the trad2 of the country and demands that France and I:aly be approached for payment of interest and something on account of th2 capital, with the object of relieving th2 British tax-payer. GIBSON, Government Attorney, has filed in said Court its peti ion of Eschezt in the above entitled cause, setting forth that one ROBERT O. ROBINSON, on the 24th day of November, 1921 died, intestate, in the county of Barnstable, state of Massachusetts, and leaving (he real estate, No. 59 King Street, Christiansted, St. Croix, and in addition rental moneys and bonds of the St. Croix fukkerfabrik, and leaving no heirs. widow, or know: kin dred capable of inheriting said property, and praying that the aforesaid property be ad- judged to belong to the Municipality of St. Croix. IT IS ORDERED that said petitioner give notice of the pendency of said action by publishing the substance of the said petition as hereinbefore set forth, with this order, in the *'St. Croix Avis’’, 3 newspaper printed at Chrisiiansted in satd Municipality of St. Croix, Six consecutive weeks, and that all persons interested in the aforesaid property appear and show c2use, if amy they have, on or before the 25th day of February, 1924 why the title should not vest in the Municipality of St. Croix.
