JAN 23 2004 GOVERNOR BILL NO. 25-0092 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2003 To amend title 17, section 23, Virgin Islands Code, to provide for judicial review of final decisions of the Board of Education ---0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 17, section 23, Virgin Islands Code is amended in the following instances: (a) Subsection (c) is amended by deleting “unless reviewed by the Governor” where it appears and inserting in lieu thereof “and may be reviewed by the Territorial Court as provided under subsection (d) of this section”; and (b) | Add anew subsection (d) to read as follows: “(d) The final decision issued by the Board of Education, under subsection (c) of this section, may be reviewed by the Territorial Court pursuant to title 5; chapter 97, of this code, if a petition it is filed within 30 days after the decision is rendered under subsection (c) of this section.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on December 17, 2003. …
