THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT “To Protect and Serve” Office of the Commissioner AAF Justice Complex, 5400 Veterans Drive St. Thomas, 00802 * (340) 774-2211 Administrative Services Building 45 Mars Hill, Frederiksted St. Croix, 00840 * (340) 778-2211 www.vipd.vi.gov VIPD RELEASE- 111822-312 For Immediate Media Distribution VIPD MEETS WITH FBI CJIS FOR NCIC SYSTEM AUDIT St. Thomas, USVI- Police Commissioner Ray Martinez along with Assistant Commissioner Mario Brooks met with members of the FBI CJIS (Criminal Justice Information System) Audit Unit in the territory to conduct a territorial audit of the department’s NCIC (National Crime Information Center) System. The audit included the NCIC’s criminal and noncriminal components involving other agencies such as VIHA, HS, BOC and the VIDOJ. The auditors were out of Clarksburg, West Virginia. Commissioner Martinez commends Police Lieutenant Arlene Chalwell and her NCIC Team in both districts for their hard work and diligence during the pre-audit stage and for all they do daily to ensure our NCIC’s effective operation. ###
