September 12, 2025 Honorable Senate President Milton E. Potter 36th Legislature of the United States Virgin Islands The Capital Building Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands 00802 Re: Major Coastal Zone Permit No. CZT-08-21(W) granted to Lime Out 2, LLC Dear Honorable President Potter and Senate Members, I am writing to express my strong support for Lime Out St. John/St. Thomas and to emphasize the importance it has brought as a small business to the local community of St. John, USVI. Lime Out is more than just a floating taco bar—it is a unique, sustainable, and thoughtfully operated business that promotes tourism, creates local jobs, and celebrates the vibrant culture and beauty of the Virgin Islands. In a region that depends heavily on tourism, especially eco- and marine-based tourism, Lime Out offers visitors a one-of-a-kind experience that reflects the innovative spirit of the islands while respecting the delicate natural environment. My business helped them with their IT needs, creating a wifi network for their guests, point of Sales Systems and Web Camera which promotes online advertising for tourism to come to the Virgin Islands. With this Live Streaming feed people from all over the world log into the camera to see what is going on at the Floating Taco Bar in the Virgin Islands. Their web camera has 430,000 Views over the past year with a reach of 1.6 Million people have seen their Thumbnail on other youtube channels. See attached Graph Last 360 days In the past 90 days of which the past 30 they were closed over 40.2K Unique Viewers have looked at their camera from their TV or Computer wanting to come to visit. Graph Last 90 Days I have also seen several other businesses spring up to simply get people out to their business in Coral Bay. Day Charter boats, daily trips to and from the beach to the boat, along with inclusive day trips just to name a few. This team has worked with the community to spin up more businesses and help grow a wonderful thing! In conclusion, Lime Out exemplifies the kind of sustainable, community-centered entrepreneurship that we should be encouraging and supporting. I respectfully ask that any considerations regarding its operations be weighed with the full scope of its positive contributions in mind. Thank you for your time and for your continued efforts to support both the environment and the economy of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Potter 36th Legislature of the United States Virgin Islands The Capital Building Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands 00802 Re: Major Coastal Zone Permit No. CZT-08-21(W) granted to Lime Out 2, LLC Dear Honourable President Potter and Senate Members, I am writing to express my strong support for Lime Out St. John/St. Thomas and to emphasize the importance it has brought as a small business to the local community of St. John, USVI. Lime Out is more than just a floating taco bar-it is a unique, sustainable, and thoughtfully operated business that promotes tourism, creates local jobs, and celebrates the vibrant culture and beauty of the Virgin Islands. In a region that depends heavily on tourism, especially eco-and marine-based tourism, Lime Out offers visitors a one-of-a-kind experience that reflects the innovative spirit of the islands while respecting the delicate natural environment. Lime Out adds tremendous value to our itineraries by providing a one-of-a-kind floating restaurant and bar experience for our guests. For our USVI group snorkel trips and private charters, Lime Out fills an important gap: it offers a fun, unique lunch and drink stop without requiring travellers to leave U.S. waters. The British Virgin Islands have long been a draw for visitors because of their abundance of food and beverage destinations.Lime Out allows us to keep guests in the USVI while still delivering that same level of excitement and variety. It helps transform a standard snorkel trip into a memorable experience by combining a unique experience with a lively, innovative dining option. Lime Out strengthens our USVI trips by enhancing guest satisfaction, keeping tourism dollars local, and providing an alternative to international customs runs-while ensuring that the U.S.Virgin Islands remain a competitive and desirable charter destination. In conclusion,Lime Out exemplifies the kind of sustainable,community-centred entrepreneurship that we should be encouraging and supporting. I respectfully ask that any considerations regarding its operations be weighed with the full scope of its positive contributions in mind. Thank you for your time and for your continued efforts to support both the environment and the economy of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Sincerely, This letter is in support of the opening of Lime Out 2 in the Fall of 2025 in Lindbergh Bay. The following signatures demonstrate the Charter Boat community's approval and overall excitement for the possibility of a second location to be added to the marine tourism industry in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This opportunity would create jobs to work for Lime out directly, as well as opportunities for smaller businesses to capitalize on transportation to and from the vessel- such as pontoon boats, water taxis, and additional charter companies creating an ecosystem of businesses many Virgin Islanders can benefit from. The new location would help with daily and long term visitors to the U.S. Virgin Islands, keeping more charters local and in our territory rather than losing such traffic to foreign islands/waters. Lime out has been a must-see destination for charter companies the last few years and their team ensures a well executed and safe experience to bring guests to as well as serving top of the line food and drinks. They have established a top tier hospitality reputation which puts the Virgin Islands in a competitive position in bringing more tourism into the territory. With a second location, there will be even more availability to reach daily visitors off of cruise ships, weekly guests, and we’re confident it will also quickly become a landmark for locals to enjoy within their community. The following businesses support the proposed second location and hopes the Virgin Islands Senate will join us in doing the same: LIST OF ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES: September 12, 2025 Honorable Senate President Milton E. Potter 36th Legislature of the United States Virgin Islands The Capital Building Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands 00802 Re: Major Coastal Zone Permit No. CZT-08-21(W) granted to Lime Out 2, LLC Dear Honorable President Potter and Senate Members, On behalf of Love City Excursions, I am writing to express our strong support for Lime Out St. John/St. Thomas and to highlight the significant value it has brought to the local community of St. John, USVI. Lime Out is more than just a floating taco bar—it is a unique, sustainable, and thoughtfully operated business that promotes tourism, creates local jobs, and celebrates the vibrant culture and natural beauty of the Virgin Islands. In a region that relies heavily on tourism, particularly eco- and marine- based tourism, Lime Out provides visitors with a one-of-a-kind experience that reflects the innovative spirit of the islands while honoring and protecting the delicate marine environment. Equally important, Lime Out fills a unique gap in our local waters where there are otherwise little to no dining options available. It offers both residents and visitors a safe, enjoyable place to gather for lunch and enhances the overall boating and tourism experience in the Virgin Islands while keeping tourism dollars in US waters. This makes it not only a valuable amenity for our community, but also a key contributor to strengthening our tourism industry. In conclusion, Lime Out exemplifies the type of sustainable, community-focused entrepreneurship that should be supported and encouraged. We respectfully ask that any considerations regarding its operations take into account the full scope of its positive contributions to both the community and the economy. Thank you for your time and for your continued commitment to supporting the environment and economic vitality of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The owners and employees also give of their own time and expertise as volunteers in our school and with local youth athletics. We have seen the Lime Out team show constant support for the young generation and community through their years of operation. In a region that depends heavily on tourism, especially eco- and marine-based tourism, Lime Out offers visitors a one-of-a-kind experience that reflects the innovative spirit of the islands while respecting the delicate natural environment. Lime Out has been one of the most significant economic drivers for our Coral Bay community. By attracting ethically minded visitors to our small bay, they have not only strengthened tourism but also helped countless local businesses, including our own, thrive. Beyond their economic impact, they are consistently among the first to step up, lend a hand, and contribute to meaningful community improvements. Their expansion into St. Thomas will serve as a positive example for other businesses, raising the bar for standards and showcasing how tourism can be both sustainable and community-focused. In a region that depends heavily on tourism, especially eco- and marine-based tourism, Lime Out offers visitors a one-of-a-kind experience that reflects the innovative spirit of the islands while respecting the delicate natural environment. When Lime Out marked its 6th anniversary it was not just as a celebration of success, but as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude to the community that has supported them from the beginning. Choosing to donate all proceeds from the day to St. John School of the Arts (SJSA), Lime Out reaffirmed its belief in the power of creativity and education to transform lives. Their gift went far beyond dollars—it fueled SJSA’s mission to inspire and empower the island’s youth through music, dance, theater, and visual arts, opening doors to opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. By dedicating their milestone to the dreams of young artists, Lime Out showed that true celebration is not only about looking back on accomplishments, but also about investing in the bright future of St. John’s children.
