March 2 U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has formally transmitted two judicial nominations to the 36th Legislature for its consideration and confirmation: Denise M. Francois to serve as a justice on the Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands, and Renee M. André to serve as a judge of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands in the St. Thomas–St. John District. Governor Bryan praised Judge Francois for her longstanding service to the Virgin Islands community. “Judge Francois has served our community with integrity, intellect, and a deep respect for the rule of law,” the Governor said. “Her nomination would also bring the Supreme Court to its full complement of five justices for the first time in our history, strengthening the Court’s capacity to administer justice at the highest level.” The Governor also highlighted Attorney André’s professional experience. “Attorney André brings strong legal experience, which was honed in the USVI since her graduation from law school. Her nomination reflects our focus on ensuring the Superior Court has qualified, capable jurists and that justice is delivered fairly and on time.” In accordance with law, both nominations now move to the Legislature for review and confirmation. Governor Bryan expressed confidence in the nominees and said he looks forward to their favorable consideration by the body. # # # TAGS No tags CATEGORIES Uncategorized Previous Next Comments are closed © 2026 Government of the United States Virgin Islands.
