Office of the Commissioner CONTACT: Jamal Nielsen, Media Relations Coordinator jamal.nielsen@dpnr.vi.gov Thursday, June 6, 2024 PUBLIC NOTICE Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the public that the following St. Thomas Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Committee Meeting is scheduled for Friday, June 21, 2024, at 4:00pm. This meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams. The agenda is as follows: Public Hearing (public testimony will be heard) Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0016-24-WTJX Radio Station requests permission to use FEMA Funds to demolition and renovate the radio station. The project scope will include demolition and new construction. The project proposes to demolish all the existing buildings including the roof structure, exterior and interior walls, windows, door, floors, floor slabs, and removal of retaining walls. The project is located on site Parcel No. 158 & 158A Haypiece Hill Southside Quarter, St. Thomas 00802. …

Public Hearing (public testimony will be heard) Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0032-23-WAPA Feeder 9A Underground Electrical Project requests permission to use FEMA Funds to install underground ducts with manholes and pad-mount transformers, and other underground devices to replace existing overhead distribution lines along Feeder 9A. The purpose of the project is to provide improved electrical power resilience to critical infrastructure, businesses and residents. The proposed underground project spans from the Randolf E. Harley Facility to the Department of Education on the eastern side of the town of Charlotte Amalie.
