Postal Information New Mail Service THE following information concerning a newv mai! service hetween Porto Rico and the Virgin Jslands is furnishe for the advice and guidance of the pub- ic: Contract awarded April 7, 1921, under advertisement of March 7, 1921, to the Antilles Trading Company, for the term from April 18, 1921. to June 30, 1924, at rate of SIO,OOO per annum, for carrying the mails between San Juan, . R. and Frederiksted, St. Croix, by St. Thomas, on the following schedule which is sub- ject to charge. if it does not meet the requirements of the service, or whenever conditions might warrant: Leave San Juan, P. R. Thursdays at 6.00 p. m., or on receipt of mai! from the United States, but not later thaa 6.00 p. m. Friday Ar.ive St. Thomas V. L. in 24 hours. Leave St. Thomas, V. I. Arrive St Thomas Tuesday by 6.00 p. m. Leave St. Thomas Wednesday at 6.00 a. m. or on receipt of mail from Porto Rico but not later than Thursday at 6 00 a. 1. & . ‘Arrive Christiansted in 12 hours. This service prcvides twice a week connection wvith St. Thomas, Porto Rico and the United States via P. R., and mails will be closed for the three places every Monday at 4.30 p. m., and Satur- day at 3p. m. As the closing of the mails is governed by the schedule of sail- ings which is for the time being tenta- tive, these hours may be changed, but due notice of any such change will be published.
