ACTNO. 7379 BILL NO. 29-0329 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2012 An Act amending 12 V.I.C., chapter 9a, subsection 312(c) to allow for the transferability of fishing licenses in the Virgin Islands ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 12 V.I.C., Chapter 9a §312(c), Registration certification and licensing, is amended as follows: (a) after the words “shall grant and renew” by striking “non-transferable” and inserting “transferable”.” (b) At the end of the subsection, add two new paragraphs (c)(1) and (c)(2) to read: “(c)(1) The license granted in this subsection shall be transferable to immediate relatives and family members of the grantee.” (c)(2) The license granted in this subsection shall be transferable to fisherman helpers.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on June 28, 2012.
