COMMITTEE ON BUDGET, APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE BILL NO. 36-0328 Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the Virgin Islands July 21, 2026 An act appropriating the sum of $2,000,000 from the Budget Stabilization Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to the Government Employees Retirement System to fund retiree bonuses PROPOSED BY: Senator Milton E. Potter Sponsor: Angel L. Bolques, Jr. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the use restricting in title 33 Virgin Islands Code, section 2 3100m, the sum of $2,000,000 is appropriated from the Budget Stabilization Fund of the 3 Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to the Government Employees Retirement 4 System in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, to fund retiree bonuses. 5 BILL SUMMARY 6 This bill appropriates $2,000,000 from the Budget Stabilization Fund of the 7 Government of the Virgin Islands, to the to the Government Employees Retirement System to 8 fund retiree bonuses. 9 BR26-1139/May 18, 2026/PFA/Revised June 5, 2026/PFA 10
