Government of The United States Virgin Islands OFFICE OF VETERANS AFFAIRS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 8, 2021 MEDIA CONTACT PERSON: Director Patrick Farrell 340-774-VETS (8387) Opportunity for St Thomas/St John Veterans to receive COVID-19 Vaccination The VA Caribbean Healthcare System will be offering COVID-19 vaccinations to the following groups of Veterans in the St Thomas / St John district:  Veterans registered and eligible to receive care at VA who are 55 years or older  Veterans that are Hemodialysis, Chemotherapy, Spinal Cord, or Organ Transplant patients  Homeless Veterans  Veterans that are First Responders (EMT, Police, Nurses, Firefighters, etc.) Location Date Time Nisky Moravian Church Fellowship Hall 18th February 2021 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Nisky Moravian Church Fellowship Hall 19th February 2021 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Veterans are required to make an appointment for vaccination by calling (787) 641-4591. Walk-ins will be accepted only if vaccines remain once all appointments have been accommodated. Those, if any, will be available while inventory lasts. …

Veterans taking the vaccine must be available to receive their second dose in 28 days to complete the vaccination cycle. NOTE: St. Croix Veterans that have taken the first dose in January will be receiving the second dose on February 24th and 25th.
