Y virtue of the uauthority vested 1n me and in accoraance with {he pgachm- observed within the United Suates, MONDAY, MAY 30, 1921, known a: MEMORIAL DAY, is appointeaa hoi day and set aside thoughout the Vir=in Islands for the purpose of paying fitiing honor to thosc vho have «iven their lives in the defence of the Ur_ui’ed .St‘«x?:(’s and its ideals of liberty, equity, justice and right, the protection of life and the pursait of happines. The usual ceremonics will be observed by the military and naval forces and all persons are invited to participate In hon- oring the heroic dead.
