COMMITTEE ON BUDGET, APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE BILL NO. 35-0400 Thirty-Fifth Legislature of the Virgin Islands October 30, 2024 An Act appropriating $1,500,000 from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to the Virgin Islands Diabetes Center of Excellence for staffing and operations within the St. Thomas/St. John District PROPOSED BY: Senator Ray Fonseca SECTION 1. (a) The sum of $1,500,000 is appropriated in the fiscal year ending 1 September 30, 2025, from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin 2 Islands to the Virgin Islands Diabetes Center of Excellence for staffing and operations in the 3 St. Thomas/St. John District. 4 (b) The sum appropriated in subsection (a) remains available until expended. 5 BILL SUMMARY 6 This bill provides an appropriation from the General Fund of the Treasury of the 7 Government of the Virgin Islands to the Virgin Islands Diabetes Center of Excellence for 8 staffing and operations in the St. Thomas/St. John District. 9 BR24-1346/October 18, 2024/LMW 10
