ACTNO. 6673 BILL NO. 25-0186 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2004 To provide for an appropriation from the interest earned on debt service reserves for the purchase and preservation of property on Vessup Bay and Muller Bay, on St. Thomas .--0--- WHEREAS, the Government of the Virgin Islands has determined that the health, welfare, improvement of the living standards and quality of life of the people of the Virgin Islands require the development of and public access to parks, beaches and recreational areas along the territory’s coastal areas, and WHEREAS, the purchase of the Vessup and Muller Bay properties would preserve trust lands, and promote the general welfare of the people of the Virgin Islands and assure greater public access to and enjoyment of the shoreline; Now, Therefore, BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. …
