ACT NO.65 38 BILL NO. 24-0266 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2002 To appropriate monies for salaries and expenses of the University of the Virgin Islands for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2003, and for other purposes ---()--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION J. The sum of $24,669,656, or as much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated from any available funds in the Treasury of the Virgin Islands to the University of the Virgin Islands Fund for expenditure by the University of the Virgin Islands during the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2003, for the purposes specified in subsections (a) and (b) of this section: (a) salaries, including pay for regular and temporary employees; salary increases; employer’s FICA and retirement contributions; overtime compensation of hourly-rated employees; books, magazines, teaching materials and audio-visual supplies; equipment and supplies for offices, classrooms, laboratories, library, student and faculty lodgings, recreational and common rooms; vehicles …
