The ban, which prohibits all outdoor burning, has been issued by Director Nominee Daryl A. George due to dry weather conditions, which have increased the risk for brush fires. The Prevention Unit in the St. Thomas/St. John District can be reached at 340-774-7610, and the Prevention Unit in the St. Croix District can be reached at 340-773-8050.
