THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT “To Protect and Serve” Office of the Commissioner VIPD RELEASE- 091323-291 For Immediate Media Distribution VIPD INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE INCIDENT IN KIRWAN TERRANCE St. Thomas, USVI- On September 12, 2023, at approximately 1:06 p.m., a citizen called the 911 call center and reported that there were shots being fired in the area of Kirwan Terrance. VIPD Officers made contact with an unresponsive male at Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center who appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Shortly thereafter, the male succumbed to his injuries. The male’s next of kin identified him as twenty-five (25) year old Kiante Christopher. This case is presently under investigation by the Major Crime Unit.
