COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS, VETERANS AFFAIRS AND CONSUMER PROTECTION BILL NO. 36-0197 Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the Virgin Islands October 27, 2025 An act amending title 30 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 5, subchapter II regarding the compensation of non-government members of the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority Governing Board and establishing a lower quorum requirement for the board and committees PROPOSED BY: Senator Milton E. Potter Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. Title 30 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 5, subchapter II is amended as 2 follows: 3 (a) In section 103(a), strike “Non-government members shall be compensated at the 4 rate of $175 a day for each day or fraction thereof spent in the work of the Authority.” and 5 insert “The Governing Board shall establish the compensation for non-government members 6 for their time spent in the work of the Authority.”; 7 (b) In section 104(b), strike “Four” and insert “Three” and add a new sentence, “Fifty 8 percent of the membership of a committee shall constitute a quorum for the purp …
