Pentheny Government has resolved in virtue cos Art. 28 of the Colonial Law that the GENERAL ELECTION of members to the Council in lieu of the said gentlemen shall take place in the Court House of Christiansted Jwrisdiction on FRIDAY THE 6TH MAY a. c. . The polling wil commence at 1 o’clock p. m. and in accordance with Art. 30 of the Colonial Law will close at 4 o’clock p. m. at the earliest. At the election no one can be consider- ed unless he has announced himself as a candidate or has been so announced by one of the electors oft e electoral dis- triet. The announcement of candidature shall eirher be made in writing or by personal attendance of the aunouncer before he electoral board. …
