Act No. 6277 (BILL NO. 23-0002) (Approved February 11, 1999) To ratify the commitment letter between the Government of the Virgin Islands, Banco Popular de Puerto Rico and International Business Machines Corporation to finance the Government of the Virgin Islands Year 2000 Compliance Project and for related purposes Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1 (a). The Commitment Letter, dated October 22, 1998, between the Government of the Virgin Islands, Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, and International Business Machines Corporation for the purpose of financing the Government of the Virgin Islands’ Year 2000 Compliance Project, executed by the Governor of the Virgin Islands, the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, and the authorized representative of International Business Machines Corporation, respectively, is hereby ratified, and a copy thereof is appended hereto as Appendix I and made a part hereof. …
