FLOOR BILL NO. 35-0060 Thirty-Fifth Legislature of the Virgin Islands March 24, 2023 A Resolution amending Rule 1003(a) of the Rules of the 35th Legislature of the Virgin Islands by removing the language that gives the President of the Legislature direct authority and supervision over the Chief Legal Counsel PROPOSED BY: Senator Alma Francis Heyliger Be it Resolved by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. Resolution 1901 (Bill No. 35-0002) adopting the Rules of the 35th 2 Legislature of the Virgin Islands, is amended in Appendix “A” in the first sentence of Rule 3 1003(a) by striking “Under the direct authority and supervision of the President of the 4 Legislature, the” and inserting “The”. 5 BILL SUMMARY 6 This Resolution amends Resolution 1901 (Bill No. 35-0002) adopting the Rules of the 7 35th Legislature of the Virgin Islands, by removing the language in Rule 1003(a) that gives the 8 President of the Legislature direct authority and supervision over the Chief Legal Counsel. 9 BR23-0371/February 17, 2023/GC/ 10
