act NO. 7450 BILL NO. 29-0365 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2012 An Act to require the Virgin Islands Department of Health to develop an Alzheimer’s Disease Plan for the Government of the Virgin Islands saees SECTION 1. (a) The Virgin Islands Department of Health and the Department of Human Services shall develop an Alzheimer’s Disease Plan for the Government of the Virgin Islands. The plan must be submitted to the Governor of the Virgin Islands and the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on or before July 31, 2013. (b) The Alzheimer’s Disease Plan developed pursuant to subsection (a) must integrate ways to: (1) create and maintain a plan to overcome Alzheimer’s disease; (2) improve early diagnosis and coordination of care and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease; (3) improve outcomes for ethnic and racial minority populations that are at statistically higher risks for Alzheimer’s disease; and (4) coordinate with international bodies to fight Alzheimer’s globally.
