OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2001 To provide for a supplemental appropriation from the Unemployment Trust Fund to the Department of Labor for the administration of the Unemployment Insurance Program, Act No. 6333 relating to and to make an appropniation to the Department of Public Works and for other purposes ---)--- WHEREAS, there is $166,884.50 in the Virgin Islands’ account in the Unemployment Trust Fund which may be appropriated to the Department of Labor under the authority of Section 903 of the Social Security Act, also known as the “Reed Act”; and WHEREAS, of that amount, $162,104.00 may be used only for support of the unemployment compensation program; and WHEREAS, $4,780.50 of the Reed Act Funds may be used for either the unemployment compensation program or employment-services programs; and WHEREAS, the Secretary of the United States Treasury will make the sum of $166,884.50 available to the Department of Labor through electronic “draw-downs”; …
