Labor Union, ap- pearing in (his paper, we the under- signed menbrs of the Supreme Council ot the Labor Union take this opportunity to state these facts:— (1) Tbaton June 7h. th- President R. de Chab-rt, was invited to attend a meeting of tihe Supreme C)uncil along with the oiher paid and employed Exec- uti /e officers of the Institution, which invitation they declined, thus and other- wise treating the Council with supreme contempt. (2) {he meeting was held without their presence in view of their refusal to attend and subseoguently the 24 members of the Supreme Council present at that meeting of the 7ith sent a politely writ ten invitation to the President or the Labor Unioi asking him to convene a meeting on Friday the 17th inst. for the purpose of': : (a) Signinyg ih= deed giving to Mr. D. Arrangements (o inat effect were = by the supreme council in Ju-e 1920 and have not s nce been ropudiated by them and these ar- raigemenis are recognised as binding o the Union by the vast majority o tn.: members of tn2lnstitudion. (6) That rezardless of who “nay think otherwise we the nndersigned know that C. (howe, H ce CEabevt and U € Granady & Co. do not have the approval nor supp ri ol us nor of apy of the reputabls members of the Institution in all their sundry acts of ftolly by which they have been distinguishing them- selves of late. The members of the Supreme Council of the Labor Union have not at tempted to set at naught a court’s de- cision (whieh so far had been duiy car- ried out) but they will not tolerate with- in their institution the breaking of sol- emn contracts and seftled arrangements simply bec use certain individuals in the organization want to take advantage of the fact that all such arrangements were not committed to writing. t8) That the members of the Supreme Council of the Labor Union although severely provoked by their Executive Officers to hreak the peace have succeeded in keeping it fo~ the pas: 6 months and intend to keep it for the futurein spite of 11l the defiant and provocative actions of the Fxecutive Officers of the Insti- tution. ¢ R.T Brow Samuel Charles George H.
