Office of the Commissioner February 3, 2023 PUBLIC NOTICE Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the public that the following St. Croix Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Committee Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 5:30 pm. In an effort to help to reduce the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), this meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Zoom. The agenda is as follows: Decision Meeting (public testimony will not be heard) Major CZM Permit No. CZX-11-18(L) VIGL Operations, LLC has requested an extension to continue its scope at the Randall “Doc” James Racetrack. The project site is located on Plot No. 5 Manning’s Bay and Parcel No. 4-B Estate Bethlehem Middle Works, Frederiksted, St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Public Hearing (public testimony will be heard) Federal Consistency Determination, CZX-3-23(FC), has been submitted by VI Department of Health. The project proposes relocation of the Public Health Laboratory and the EMS Modular Facility and ancillary support/storage buildings to allow for continuity of operations during the reconstruction of the Charles Harwood Memorial Complex. VI Department of Health has partnered with the VI Housing Authority for the use of the proposed project site which is located at Plot Nos. 11-E and 11-F Penitentiary Land, Christiansted, St. Croix, Virgin Islands. The application is available for public review on the DPNR-CZM Website https://dpnr.vi.gov/coastal-zone- management/what-we-do/federal-consistency/. Further, plans for the proposed project are on file for review by appointment only at the Department of Planning and Natural Resources, Division of Coastal Zone Management, located at 45 Mars Hill, Second Floor, St. Croix, Virgin Islands (340) 773-1082, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., except holidays. Properly signed statements concerning the proposed project addressed to the undersigned will become part of the hearing record. Written statements must be submitted by February 14, 2023, via email to czm@dpnr.vi.gov.
