BILL NO. 24-0262 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2002 To officially name the Pavilion Building at the Patrick Sweeney Headquarters, the “Violet Oretha Damidaux Pavilion” in honor of Police Corporal Violet Oretha Damidaux for her numerous, significant contributions to the Virgin Islands and St. Croix, especially her direct involvement and contributions in making this pavilion a reality both as a police officer and a private citizen ---0--- WHEREAS, Mrs. Violet Oretha Damidaux was bom in Gingerland, Nevis and grew up in St. Kitts where she attended Basseterre Girls School; and WHEREAS, in 1964, Mrs. Violet Oretha Damidaux came to St. Croix and immediately got involved in the Virgin Islands’ job market; thus holding positions as a Sales Clerk, Nurse’s Aide, Post Office Clerk, Airline Clerk and a Bank Teller; and WHEREAS, for the past thirty-eight years, Mrs. Violet O.
