ACT NO.6416 BILL NO. 24-0090 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES SPECIAL SESSION 2001 To amend title 27, chapter 9, section 305d, Virgin Islands Code, pertaining to the Tobacco Settlement Agreement, to correct certain technical errors, to repeal Section 3, subsection (g) of Act No. 6391 and for other related purposes ---0--- WHEREAS, on November 23, 1998, leading United States tobacco product manufacturers, together with subsequent participating manufacturers, entered into the Master Settlement Agreement with various states and other United States jurisdictions, including the Virgin Islands (hereinafter, the "Territory"); and WHEREAS, Exhibit T of the Master Settlement Agreement provided a Model Statute; and WHEREAS, the Twenty-Third Legislature of the Virgin Islands of the United States approved Act No, 6391 on December 21, 2000; and WHEREAS, Act No. 6391 was signed by the Governor on February 1, 2001; and WHEREAS, Section 3, subsection (g) of Act No. …
