ACTNO. 7534 BILL NO. 30-0201 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2013 An Act naming the Julie Mango, the Virgin Islands Fruit of Choice ---0--- WHEREAS, the Julie Mango was once a mango seedling without a name before it was grafted and became known as a “Julie”; and WHEREAS, mangoes come in many shapes, sizes, flavors, sweetness and varieties; and WHEREAS, one variety may be small and another very large; and WHEREAS, mangoes grow throughout the tropical and subtropical locations with over 100 recognized varieties; and WHEREAS, mangoes, thrive in rocky and hilly terrains like the Virgin Islands and also thrives on flat clayey soils like those on the Island of St. …
