CIB Detectives then traveled to investigate the incident and discovered in the investigation that Lafayette Artis, 29-years-old and the victim had an ongoing feud and Mr. Artis attacked the victim stabbing him in the upper back, and the back of the neck. …

On Thursday morning November 17, 2022, an arrest warrant was issued by the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands for Mr. Artis. At 6:40p.m., Mr. Artis was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder. Bail was set at $100,000; Mr. Artis was unable to post bail and was remanded to the John Bell Correctional Facility, pending his advice of rights hearing. ###
