Must completely satisfy any other contractual service obligation for health professional service owed under an agreement with a federal, state/territory, or other entity prior to beginning the period of service under the USVI-SLRP. WE’RE INVESTING IN YOU The State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) is federally funded by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) and administered by the VI Department of Health’s Division of Primary Care. USVI-SLRP funding will assist healthcare professionals in the repayment of educational student loans. The loan is designated for those who agree to provide primary health services in federally designated Health Professional Shortages Areas (HPSAs) in the US Virgin Islands. The term “primary health services” refers to having a primary care degree and being fully trained in one of the following primary care disciplines and specialties. ELIGIBILITY CHECKLIST For the first two (2) years you can be awarded up to 50,000 (25,000 per year). For the third (3) renewal year, an extension can be awarded 15,000 per year. The total amount of awards three (3) years cannot exceed $65,000.
