The priccipal arrests al- ready known .is that of Mr.' Williams O’Brien, leader of the transport work- ers. who is prominent in the corporation and recently successiully demanded the removal of the mace and swords. Mr. Hunter, member of Parliament for North Bast Cork. was also arrested together with his partners, Mr. Peter Clancy, in a tailoring business under the style of ‘“‘Republican Tailors’’. The theft of let- ters of Viscount French which were faken from a mail van by a med men, has created excitement at the military police headquarters and all houses in the district are being searched and numer- ous arrests made, although the letters and other mail have not yet been dis- covered.
