BILL NO. 26-0225 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2006 ‘An Act amending“24 *V.I.C., chapter 17 by adding section 451b relating to waiver of rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 24 Virgin Islands Code, chapterl17, is amended by adding subsection 451b to read as follows: “8451b. An agreement that waives a right guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States, is unenforceable, unless the waiver of the right is agreed to knowingly and voluntarily”. Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on August 22, 2006.
