APPLICATION FOR PERSONALIZED LICENSE PLATES PLEASE READ THE APPLICATION CAREFULLY and answer every question. Orders for Personalized License Plates will be processed by the date they were received. This fee is due annually to retain your plates even if your vehicle is not registered. Please allow 90 days for delivery of your plates. When your plates arrive you will receive a telephone call letting you know where to exchange your plates. Personalized License Plates Guidelines: You may request any combination of letters and/or numbers, with a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of seven (7) characters. Only capital letters and numbers are allowed. Spaces, punctuation, and special characters (such as @, #, &, etc.) are NOT permitted. Your plate will be produced exactly as entered, so please double-check for accuracy. Please type or print clearly using capital letters in the spaces provided on the below. LOL95 List below in order of preference your choice of Personalized License Plates 1ST CHOICE 2ND CHOICE 3RD CHOICE Submit this filled out application and your current registration along with payment in the amount of $49.00 to your local Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Personalized License Plates may only be used on Private Vehicles and Motorcycles. Personalized plates are not available for Commercial Vehicles, Trailers or Taxis. Requests for obscene or objectionable words will be rejected. The Department is authorized to recall any personalized plates, after issuance, which are later discovered to be obscene or objectionable. Personalized plates can duplicate the form of regularly issued license plates (such as C-100, J-100 or T-100) for a fee of $49.00. Requests referring to Government institutions (such as VIPD, FBI, or the Legislature, or other specialty groups such as Friends of the Park, Rotary, Historic Trust or Landmarks Society) or that refer to any religious concepts will not be allowed.
