Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources announces that the Division of Coastal Zone Management will host a Bayside Walking Tour on Wednesday, December 21st at Robin Bay on St. Croix. Participants will meet at the St. Croix East End Marine Park gate at 9 a.m. for the 2-hour walk. Join us for a walking tour, led by Park Ranger John Farchette, to learn about the St. Croix East End Marine Park’s cultural resources and marine habitats. Participants will be guided along the shoreline to experience the Mount Fancy salt pond, seagrass beds, shorebird habitats, and to learn about the geological history of St. Croix. Participants are asked to wear sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen. This is a free educational event, held quarterly, and suitable for all ages and experience levels. RSVP is mandatory.
