These updates will take effect on February 1, 2025. The updated codes are available for review online at dpnr.vi.gov. In addition to the changes in the ICC Code, please note that all designs and submittals must comply with the following updated codes: • ICC 2024 Codes • National Electrical Code (NEC) 2023 • Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) 2024 These updated codes must be used for all HVAC system designs, including submittals for permits, approvals, and inspections. Submittals that do not meet these new code requirements will not be processed after the effective date. We encourage all contractors, engineers, and design professionals to thoroughly review these code updates to ensure compliance.
