ACTNO, 7592 BILL NO. 30-0202 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2014 An Act amending title 22, chapter 65, section 1723 of the Virgin Islands Code by requiring that health insurance providers provide coverage for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders and coverage and coverage for hearing aids for children ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 22 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 65 is amended by designating the existing provisions as subchapter I and adding subchapter II to read as follows: “SUBCHAPTER If COVERAGE FOR AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS IN HEALTH CARE PLANS 1731 As used in this subchapter: (a) “Applied behavior analysis" means the design, implementation and evaluation of environmental modifications, using behavioral stimuli and consequences, including the use of direct observation, measurement and functional analysis of the relationship between environment and behavior, to produce socially significant improvement in human behavior. …
