ACTNO. 8529 BILL NO. 34-0107 THIRTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2021 An Act amending title 3 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 8, section 113, subsection (a) relating to the tenure of Assistant Attorneys General within the Virgin Islands Department of Justice to require that termination may be only for cause and after notice and opportunity to be heard -0- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 3 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 8, section 113, subsection (a) is amended in the second sentence by striking all the language after the first occurrence of “Governor” and inserting “and may be terminated only for cause, and after notice and an opportunity to be heard.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on December 23, 2021.
