As Chair of the Committee on Culture, Youth, Aging, Sports, and Parks (CYASP), I write to formally invite you to appear before the Committee at a legislative hearing scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 9:30 AM at the Fritz E. Lawaetz Legislative Chamber on the island of St. Croix. This hearing will include two significant components that directly relate to the responsibilities of the Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation (DSPR). Your participation is essential to ensure a thorough and transparent dialogue on matters impacting the recreational and sports infrastructure across the territory. Block I: Paul E. Joseph Stadium Project From 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, we will focus on the Paul E. Joseph Stadium Project. We kindly request an update on: The department’s update involvement in planning, oversight, and coordination. We respectfully ask that you submit written testimony by Thursday, June 5, 2025.
