Joseph Stadium Operational Readiness Dear Commissioner Roberts, As a follow-up to your scheduled appearance during the morning session, I also respectfully request your testimony in the afternoon session of the Committee on Culture, Youth, Aging, Sports, and Parks oversight hearing on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM, at the Frits E. Lawaetz Legislative Chamber on St. Croix. This segment of the hearing will focus specifically on the operational readiness of the Paul E. Joseph Stadium as the project nears its targeted December 2025 completion. As the department responsible for management and activation of public recreational spaces, your input is essential to help the Committee: • Assess the stadium’s current level of operational preparedness • Identify which amenities and public access areas are complete versus pending • Outline staffing, programming, and safety requirements for full public use • Clarify DSPR’s ongoing coordination with other agencies and contractors Please submit your updated written testimony relevant to this phase of the project by Wednesday, November 19, 2025, to support our records and discussion. Please ensure that all testimony, documentation, and communications related to this hearing are submitted through the Office of the Chair.
