ACTNO. 6788 BILL NO. 26-0149 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2005 To approve the Amendment to the Renewal of the METLIFE Agreement for Group Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance ---0--- WHEREAS, the Government of the Virgin Islands, the Virgin Islands Port Authority, the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas East End Medical Center Corporation and Frederiksted Health Care, Inc. (collectively the “Employer’’) entered into an Agreement for Group Life and Accidental] Death and Dismemberment Insurance (the “Initial Agreement”) approved by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands; and on June 20, 2002; and WHEREAS, the Initial Agreement was amended by the First and Second Amendments to the Agreement for Group Life and Accidental] Death and Death and Dismemberment Insurance, both ratified by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on June 21, 2002, referred to as “the Contract” and WHEREAS, the Contract provided for a twelve-month term, commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, and further provided that the Contract was subject to …
