ACTNO. %281 BILL NO. 29-0212 Twenty-Ninth Legislature Of The Virgin Islands Regular Session 2011 An Act amending Act No. 7261 relating to credited service with the GERS and for other purposes ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Act No. 7261 is amended as follows: (a) Section 7, subsection (a), is amended in line 4 by deleting the word “credited” before the word “service”; (b) Section 7, subsection (b) is amended by striking the date “August 15, 2011” and inserting “September 30, 2011” in its place. (c) Section 7, subsection (k) is amended in the second line, after the word “GERS” by adding the language “employed by an agency receiving any portion of their funding from the General Fund for the payment of salaries”, in the second line by deleting the word “credited” before the word “service” and in the third line after the word “salary” by adding the words “as contribution”. Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on September 20, 2011. …
