New York, Aug. 26th.—The sugar markets have probably never in their history been in such chaotic condition as they are at the present fime. Raw sugar, Cuba’s {ull duties and Porto Rieo’s, have been received and holders find it iinpossible to even get 2 bid, the result being that the sugars have been placed in store waiting for an improvement in the market conditions. It was be- lieved that abid of ten cents cif would be accepted for full duty sugzar, but no buyers could be found whe would make any bid. It was said that a tocal refinery yesterday morning bid 9.03 cents cif for Porte Rico’s, then withdraw the bid.
