ACTNO.87 92 BILL NO. 35-0084 THIRTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2023 An Act amending title 11 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 21, section 1213 to allow businesses Operating under a trade name to have the option of renewing the trade name every two, six, or ten years Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. (a) Title 11 Virgin Islands Code chapter 21, section 1213 is amended by inserting “, six, or ten” after “two”, by inserting “for a two-year renewal, $300 for a six-year renewal and $500 for a ten-year renewal” after “$100”. (b) The sum of $50,000 is appropriated in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to the Office of the Lieutenant Governor to implement subsection (a). (c) Subsection (a) of this act takes effect 180 days after enactment.
